Inspirations
Fall 2012
Have you ever been listening to a piece of music and found
yourself completely inspired either by the beat, the lyrics, or the overall
vibe? If chosen, I would create a collection of photos that depict a song or
song phrase inspired by specific pieces of music.
The music would range from a
variety of genres from different time periods and hopefully be played during
the gallery viewing. I would use songs that inspire me and portray a phrase or whole song in a photograph. The collection
would include photographs taken in studio and out of studio with a variety of
different lighting; each photograph will vary depending on how I was inspired
by each song.
There will be a total of 7-12 large prints with 2-4 pieces on
each wall and a plaque for each photo depicting the name of the song, musician,
and phrase of the song that I was inspired by. I have no gallery preference and
would prefer this solo show to be viewed in late October or November.
