Photoshop Tutorial (Jessica Diamond)



Circle Distortion Instructions

1. Open Photoshop and select an image by dragging down the file menu and clicking on
“Open.” Choose your photo and click on “open.”

2. Once your photo has opened on your screen, you will crop your picture into a square

a. Press the shift key and then drag the crop box to however big you would like within the picture. Let go of the mouse, and then let go of the shift key. Position the square where you would like the image cropped. Crop the image.

3. Go to “Filter” on the tool bar above. In filter, go to “Distort” and then “Polar
Coordinates."

4. Once in polar coordinates, change it from “Rectangular to Polar” to “Polar to
Rectangular.”

5. Next, go to “Image,” then to “Rotate Canvas.” Flip the image 180◦.

6. Go back to “Filter,” “Distort,” and “Polar Coordinates.”

7. Change the coordinates back from “Polar to Rectangular” to “Rectangular to Polar.”


Your circle image is now complete! Admire your work.
