Proposal 2 - Kim Kohnlein
what once was...
the photographic documentation of abandonment, things and places left behind. the eerie feeling that creeps at the corners of your mind as you look at the remnants of human life, the objects from life that once was. these are buildings where people lived or worked or played. places that were once cared for and maintained. homes where people celebrated holidays and ate dinners together. but today they are empty and decrepit. they are forgotten places.

This will be an architectural digital photography show by Kim Kohnlein documenting the abandonment of structures in modern times. I don't have a preference on where this gallery is.
All 3 walls will be used. I plan on making at least 2-3 prints for each wall, approximately 18"x24" each.
Below are some of the images that will be included in this exhibit.
Proposal - McKell Flick
Suspended.
you feel weightless.
you feel free.
you feel light.
you sense beauty.
your body flows suspended.
you have entered a portal
into a mysterious and dreamy unknown.
Proposal
This is an underwater digital photography show. If chosen I would prefer to have the show in the annex.
The images were taken with a camera in an underwater housing. The photos include models and various fabrics. What's unique about the underwater photography is that it captures fabric and long hair flowing in the water. The show would include 9 - 12 photos at the size of 18 x 20 or larger.
Here are some samples of the work I would show.

Fall 2012
Each of the photographs that I will select for my show will be detail images. I want people to see things up close, which leaves the viewer searching for what the object is. While some will be obvious to what the detailed images are others will not be as plainly laid out. All of the images will be black and white images to help enhance the natural detail in each of the objects that I have photographed. These images allow people to see that every object has the potential to be interesting.
The image sizes will be 18"x24" matte paper and about 4-6 pictures on a wall, in either of the galleries. I have no preference to a private show or group show, but if the option of a group show arises, I have talked to Parker Dolbin about collaborating our art work.
